I wont be a bit surprised if the fact this is a Muslim school payed for by tax dollars is forgotten. All people will be thinking about is these threats. If these threats are real it is not right but it does not take away the fact this is tax payer funded school.

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) today asked local law enforcement authorities and the FBI to investigate reported threats against a charter school in that state as possible hate crimes.

Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) in Inver Grove Heights, Minn., allegedly began receiving harassing and threatening messages after recent public criticism of the school by a columnist of the Star Tribune newspaper. The columnist's accusations against the school have since been highlighted on a number of anti-Muslim Internet hate sites. After being contacted by school officials, local police have stepped up patrols near the facility.

"We urge the FBI and local law enforcement authorities to treat these alleged threats as possible violations of the civil rights of the students, parents and staff of Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy," said CAIR-MN Chapter Coordinator Chris Schumacher. "It is a sad reflection of the level anti-Muslim feeling has reached in our society that agenda-driven accusations by a newspaper columnist apparently result in such hatred directed at innocent students."

He said the apparent threats to the school come following recent incidents such as a fire-bomb attack on a Minnesota Muslim-owned business and an arson attack on a Tennessee mosque by three members of the white-supremacist "Christian Identity" movement.

This is Obama from last night at the compassion forum watch the whole thing. President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pottering, said that he was against the anti-Islam film Fitna, which was produced and released by a Dutch lawmaker.
Talking to reporters in Doha on the sidelines of the eighth Forum on Democracy, Development and Free Trade, which started yesterday, he said that he understood the cultural differences between the Islamic world and Europe and that he was committed to dialogue based on partnership.
“If there are people who commit acts of terrorism in the name of Islam, we do not believe they represented the mainstream of Muslim thinking… we [the EU] will not accept that Islam and terrorism are identical. We are not in favour of descriptions and pictures that identify violence with Islam. We are against any cartoons that could instigate violence,” he said.
“We are committed to the freedom of the press but I am against publishing cartoons that hurt the feelings of others. As a Catholic, I would feel insulted if someone derides the Pope. We might disagree with others but we have to respect them.”

Ellison needs to be called out on this. I don't even understand this comment. He said the following to a group of Muslims:
