Leading universities including Oxford and Cambridge have been targeted by Islamic extremists who remain widely active on campuses, a prominent academic is warning.

Up to 48 British universities have been infiltrated by fundamentalists and the threat posed by radical groups must be "urgently addressed", according to Prof Anthony Glees.

The claim calls into question the Government's attempted crackdown on Islamic extremism in universities and casts doubt on claims by Bill Rammell, the Higher Education Minister, that the problem is not widespread.

I was surprised to read this article from the Huffington Post considering they usually white wash the problem of radical Islam. In this article they outline how an Islamic leader tries to portray himself as a moderate Muslim but in fact he really is a radical. Read the whole thing here.

RADICAL Islamic literature, DVDs and websites are proliferating across Melbourne while authorities are seemingly helpless to stop the underground trade in hate talk.
In tucked away Melbourne bookshops and prayer rooms, as well as online, text and recordings commonly slur Jews and urge followers to Islamise the world.

The faithful are told to obey only Sharia law.

A Sunday Herald Sun audit of Islamic bookshops found dozens of books, pamphlets, DVDs and CDs with radical and sometimes violent messages.

One book, Man-Made Laws Vs. Shari'ah, urges Muslims not to "accept anything from their governments and rulers except sharia", stating any other system is heresy.

The book prescribes stoning for adultery and drinking alcohol and advocates flogging for casual sex.

The same text claims the Jews have always waged a war against Islam.

Another booklet, The Conditions of La Ilaha Illa Allah, states all children of Israel are going to hell.

"A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies," it states.

It describes a Muslim's aim as "to strive for a returning to the true Islamic way of life . . . and to bring about a society guided upon the Revelation and for the Laws of Allah to be applied upon the earth."

* March 1994 – Rashid Baz, a Muslim from Lebanon, opened fire on a van containing members of the Lubavitch Hassids in Brooklyn. One was killed.
* February 1997 – Palestinian-born Ali Abu Kamal opened fire on the observation deck of the Empire State Building, killing a tourist and injuring six other people before committing suicide. His daughter, Linda Kamal, said in 2007 that the family is tired of lying and admitted that a letter had been found on her father’s body explaining his Muslim hatred for Israel and America.
* July 2002 – Egyptian-born Hesham Mohammed Hadayet walked into the Israeli Airlines El Al terminal at the Los Angeles airport and began shooting Jews. He killed two and injured another four. He was known to sympathize with al Qaeda.
* September 2002 – Patrick Gott killed one and wounded another in the New Orleans airport. He had entered the terminal with a shotgun and his Koran.
* October 2002 – John Mohammed and Lee Malvo killed 13 people in the Washington, DC area. Both were converts to Islam and had attended a jihad training camp in southwestern Virginia.
* August 2003 – Mohammed Ali Alayed almost totally decapitated his erstwhile Jewish friend, Ariel Sellouk, following Alayed’s getting serious about his Islamic faith. He went to a mosque after killing Sellouk.
* October 2005 – Joel Henry Hinrichs III, a convert to Islam, was an engineering student at Oklahoma University. His student career ended when a bomb he had strapped on himself went off prematurely outside a crowed stadium, killing only himself. Police subsequently cleared explosives from the apartment that Hinrichs had shared with Muslim students from Pakistan.
* April 2006 – Muslim Ayhan Surucu was so angry when his sister started to wear make-up and date men in Berlin, Germany, that he put a gun to her head at a bus stop and killed her. Boys at a nearby school, attended mainly by the children of immigrant Muslim families, cheered and applauded when news of the murder reached them.
* May 2006 – Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill student, rented an SUV and drove it through a crowded part of the campus— intentionally trying to hit people and wounding nine. In a series of letters to the student newspaper, he explained that he acted in obedience to Koranic dictates.
* June 2006 – Michael Ford, a Muslim convert, walked into work at a Safeway warehouse in Denver and opened fire on his coworkers, killing one and injuring five. Relatives explained that he was being teased at work because he’s a Muslim and he could not take it anymore.
* July 2006 – Naveed Alzal Haq, a Pakistani, walked into the Jewish Federation Center in downtown Seattle and shot six women— killing one, and wounding five( one of whom was pregnant). He stated matter-of-factly : "I am a Muslim American angry at Israel."
* August 2006 – Omeed Aziz Popal, a Muslim Afghan refugee, used his SUV as a weapon and ran down at least 14 people and a bicyclist in the San Francisco Bay area. He was targeting Jewish neighborhoods to terrorize.
* January 2007 – A 22-year-old Muslim, Ismail Yassin Mohamed, stole a car in Minneapolis and rammed it into other cars before stealing a van and doing the same, injuring several drivers and pedestrians at crosswalks and on sidewalks before police caught up with him. Mohamed called himself a "terrorist."
* February 2007 – Ibrihim Ahmed, a Nashville cab driver and Muslim, was enraged that two passengers did not agree with him about Islam. When they got out of the cab, he tried to run them down, striking one in a parking lot.
* February 2007 – Sulejman Talovic, a Bosnian Muslim immigrant, went to a Salt Lake City mosque on a Friday night. Then he went to one of only two malls in the state which prohibits civilian carrying of concealed weapons. He killed five before an off-duty cop (not subject to ban) used a concealed firearm stopped his murder spree.

I came across this article today entitled "Egypt cleric launches website for moderate Islam".

The article says Sheikh Ali Gomaa of Egypt is starting a website promoting moderate Islam. This sounds great at first glance. Then I decided I would learn more about Sheikh Ali Gomaa. Here is my findings.

First off apparently Ali Gomaa doesnt believe that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. See here.

I have also seen an article written by Ali Gomaa that is supposed to justify woman holiding political office. To bad its a far cry from anything comparable to America. He puts massive restrictions on a woman in political office. Here are a few excerpts from the article:

"Women can stand as candidates for parliament or the consultative council, in so far as they can reconcile their duties with the rights that their husbands and children have over them."

But the mufti said that women's conduct of their political rights must not infringe "the ethical laws of Islam" and that they should not therefore "take off the headscarf, deck themselves in fine clothes or be alone with men who are not their husbands or close relatives."

A LEADING Muslim cleric has blamed the devastating drought, climate change and pollution on Australians' lack of faith in Allah.

Radical sheik Mohammed Omran told followers at his Brunswick mosque that out-of-control secular scientific values had caused environmental disaster.

"The fear of Allah is not there. So we have now a polluted earth, a polluted water, a wasteland," he told a meeting this year.

"What are the people now crying for? The prophet told you hundreds of years ago, 'Look after the water'."

A Sunday Herald Sun investigation also found clerics railing against "evil" democracy, vilifying Jews and Christians and encouraging jihad and polygamy.

CAIRO, Egypt -- An Iraqi insurgent group threatened to kill a German woman and her son unless Germany withdraws its troops from Afghanistan within 10 days, pan-Arab television stations reported on Saturday.

The Dubai-based Al-Arabiya and the Qatar based Al-Jazeera networks aired a video from a previously unknown insurgent group called the "Arrows of Righteousness," showing the abducted woman and her son.

In the footage, the woman is identified as Hannelore Marianne Krause. She wears a blue scarf over her head and is shown seated, next to her grown son to her right, according to the stations' reports.

German officials have refused to identify the captives. It wasn't immediately clear what they were doing in Iraq.

The authenticity of the video, carried by the Arab stations, was not independently verified. The Associated Press has not viewed the video.

According to the stations' reports, the captives faces are downcast. The son, who wasn't identified, did not speak, while the video carried subtitles in Arabic of the woman's appeal in German. Masked gunmen also are shown in the video, threatening to kill the two in 10 days if Germany did not give in to their demand and pull out from Afghanistan.

The TV stations said the woman appealed to German Chancellor Angela Merkel to respond to the kidnappers' demands.

Last month, German authorities confirmed that two Germans had been missing in Iraq since Feb. 6.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier created a special crisis panel to work on the release of the two, but nothing more was heard of them since.

German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost had said the two apparently were kidnapped in Baghdad.

Germany has no troops in Iraq but has about 2,700 troops serving with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, most of them focused in the north of the country.

Bad news if true!

According to information available with Zee News, nuclear scientists have been kidnapped by Taliban at the behest of Al-Qaeda. Further investigations reveal that Al-Qaeda may be using the expertise of the scientists to produce nuclear bombs. The two scientists are reportedly being held somewhere in Waziristan, near Afghanistan border.

In January this year Pakistan security agencies had foiled another attempt by Taliban militia to kidnap nuclear scientists. Earlier, incidents of Taliban militia stealing uranium in NWFP have already been reported. PAEC also has a uranium mining facility in NWFP.

With repeated Al Qaeda threats to the US, news of kidnapping of nuclear scientists will increase pressure on Pakistan to attack terrorist camps.

A few days ago a plane crashed in Mogadishu. Well now an Radical Islamic group is claiming they are responsible.

Mogadishu - A plane carrying several African Union (AU) peacekeepers caught fire on Friday as it landed in Mogadishu but nobody was injured, said officials.

An Islamic group claimed responsibility, saying it attacked the plane with missiles, but Somali and peacekeeping officials said the fire was likely the result of a mechanical failure.

The peacekeepers - the first in Mogadishu in more than a decade - have faced mortar attacks since they arrived on Tuesday from Uganda. Two peacekeepers have been wounded in the attacks.

Paddy Ankunda, the Ugandan forces' spokesperson, said Friday's fire appeared to have been caused by a mechanical failure and that all seven peacekeepers and crew were unharmed.

But a newly formed extremist group, the Popular Resistance Movement in the Land of the Two Migrations, posted a website notice on Friday saying it had fired missiles at the plane.

"Two missiles hit at the centre of the plane," said the statement by the co-ordinator of the group, Hadith Aba Sadiq.

The group said it has "succeeded in burning one military plane of the black enemy in its planned attack against the Mogadishu airport".

A Miss Israel finalist has quit after receiving death threats from members of her family for entering the competition, it is claimed.

Doaa Fares, 17, is at the centre of an honour killing plot after she was allegedly threatened by two uncles for disgracing the family name with promiscuous behaviour.

But now she has come out of hiding and announced she is withdrawing from the competition, for fear of her life, The Times reported.

She said: 'My life is much more important than a contest, but it's very difficult for me to give up my dream.'

Ms Fares comes from a very conservaitive Galilean village where the religion practiced is Druze, an offshoot of Islam.

The Miss Israel title that comes with a cash prize, modelling contract and a car and involves parading in a bikini.

Pictures of her in a miniskirt and sleeveless top were published in magazines and she received threatening phone calls and e-mails.

Police received a tip that some villagers, including her two uncles Anwar and Hatem Fares, were plotting to kill her.

Five men were jailed but the Fares family refused to press charges against the uncles, and they were released.

Despite saying she is too frightened to leave the house, Ms Fares is to star in a documentary about her ordeal.

Last year, seventeen Palestinian women and seven in Israel were reported killed in honour crimes such as having sex before marriage.

A prominent Iraqi Sunni insurgent group on Friday posted a video of what it claimed was an attack by one of its homicide bombers on a Kurdish militiamen post in Iraq.

The Islamic Ansar al-Sunnah group said the attack took place in the northern city of Mosul and that it claimed the lives of 35 Kurdish troops. It did not give a date or specific location for the attack.

No such attack is known to have been reported in Iraq.

The video shows the alleged homicide bomber, masked and identified as Abu al-Baraa al-Shami, drawing up plans on paper with a pen while surrounded by other masked gunmen.

The plan allegedly targets a building housing the peshmerga — Kurdish militiamen who once battled Saddam Hussein's regime and who were later incorporated into the U.S.-trained new Iraqi military, to serve as troops in the predominantly Kurdish region in northern Iraq.

The footage shows the masked insurgents filling up several gas canisters, land mines and other tank shells with a white powder said to be the explosives. The gunmen tape the explosives together and stuff them inside a minivan. The vehicle's clutch is subsequently shown wired to the bombs.

"We are the holy warriors executing God's orders ... fighting the Crusaders, the infidels, the occupiers and the apostates, the traitors of the (Iraqi) agents who are killing men and women, and raping Muslim women," the bomber identified as al-Shami reads from his will, after which he embraces fellow insurgents goodbye.

Earlier I reported a story of a Muslim in the Navy leaking information to terrorist. Below is a list that Daniel Pipes has created of Islamic terrorist that have been in our military.

Ryan G. Anderson, also known as Amir Abdul Rashid, was charged today with three counts of helping Al-Qaeda, as an unnamed federal law enforcement official explained, "by wrongfully attempting to communicate and give intelligence" to it. (February 12, 2004) May 13, 2004 update: In an undercover tape shown at his Article 32 hearing (comparable to a grand jury in the civilian legal system), reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, "Anderson gives Jordanian ancestry on his mother's side of the family as a motivation for defecting, claiming he was sickened when fellow soldiers denigrated Arabs and Muslims without reprimand." Sept. 3, 2004 update: Anderson was convicted of trying to aid Al-Qaeda and sentenced to life in prison.

Hammad Abdur-Raheem, 35, of Falls Church, Va., was convicted today of conspiracy for using his U.S. army-gained expertise to train others for jihad through the paintball games they played in the woods in Virginia. (March 4, 2004)

Hassan Abujihaad, 25, a convert to Islam and a former communications specialist for the U.S. Navy, he stands accused of sending e-mail messages to a pro-Taliban Internet site run by Babar Ahmad while serving on the guided-missile destroyer Benfold in the Middle East during 2000-01. As the Los Angeles Times delicately puts it, "Federal agents are trying to determine how Ahmad ended up in possession of detailed and highly classified information about the San Diego-based aircraft carrier battle group that the Benfold was part of, including its classified travel plans and its vulnerability to attack." (August 14, 2004)

Yusuf Khalil Jackson, a civilian who worked for a contractor in the Department of Defense, admits making fake military identity cards at Fort Myer in Virginia. In a televised confession to Andrea McCarren broadcast on WJLA-ABC, Jackson ascribed his motive to poverty and desperation and said the thirty or so real military I.D. cards sold to non-military personnel were sold only to underaged people who wanted to get into bars. But the I.D.s would work at any U.S. base and court records indicate the U.S. Park Police seized one of his faked cards from a Pakistani national, and that the identity of the card was that of an American soldier in Afghanistan.(March 16, 2005)

(March 25, 2005) May 18, 2005 update: Testimony at Ahmed's trial has revealed two points: that he wrote in March 2001 that the United States is "the terrorist" and bin Laden "a righteous holy man"; and that, according to his attorney, the Air Force repeatedly promoted and decorated Ahmed, despite his anti-American record .

Rafat Jamal Mawlawi, 54, a Syrian national and naturalized U.S. citizen, served in the Navy for 12 years and was honorably discharged. While Mawlawi is in a Memphis, Tennessee jail, one of four Muslim men of Middle Eastern origins (the others being Mhammed Kabouchi, Omran Omer, and Karim Ramzi) awaiting trial for operating a marriage scam, the Joint Terrorism Task Force raided his house. It found, reports John Branston in the Memphis Flyer,

a hidden stash of loaded weapons and ammunition clips, $34,000 in cash, two pictures of Mawlawi shouldering a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, a gruesome videotape of war casualties with Arabic text and voiceover, and more than 20 passports to Morocco, Syria, Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries.

The weapons included a shotgun, a .9-millimeter Glock handgun, a .32-caliber pistol, and a .38-caliber revolver. The guns were loaded with loaded ammunition magazines nearby. The 20 to 30 passports—both current and expired—were made out to Mawlawi, his wife, and their children. Stamps in his passports indicated Mawlawi had traveled to Iran and Pakistan, though he had told law enforcement agents he had only visited the Balkans. Two pictures showed Mawlawi with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher on his shoulder. In one picture, the end-cap is removed, rendering the weapon ready to fire. The videotape, with an Arabic voiceover, starts with the words "al Mujahadeen" and pictures of a firearm; it shows graphic images of dead people with injuries that appear to be from combat wounds. SAUDI ARABIA: WOMAN RAPED AND BEATEN FACES JAIL FOR BEING ALONE WITH A MAN

A 19-year-old Saudi woman who was kidnapped, beaten and gang raped by seven men who then took photos of their victim and threatened to kill her, was sentenced under the country's Islamic-based law to 90 lashes for the "crime" of being alone with a man not related to her.

The woman is appealing to Saudi King Abdullah to intervene in the controversial case.

"I ask the king to consider me as one of his own daughters and have mercy on me and set me free from the 90 lashes," the woman said in an emotional interview published Monday in the Saudi Gazette.

"I was shocked at the verdict. I couldn't believe my ears. Ninety lashes! Ninety lashes!" the woman, identified only as "G," told the English-language newspaper.

Five months after the harsh judgment, her sentence has yet to be carried out, "G" said she waits in fear every day for the phone call telling her to submit to authorities to carry out her punishment.

MUSLIMS BLACKMAILING GIRLS TO GET THEM TO CONVERT

Radical Muslims are being accused of blackmailing young Hindu and Sikh women into changing religion in “groomed conversions” on campuses.

The men aggressively target vulnerable university students by using the fear of being dishonoured to force them to convert, community leaders have told The Times. Many befriend their victims, then threaten to tell their families that they are in a sexual relationship with a Muslim. Some teenagers are said to have been drugged and photographed in compromising positions.

Many comply because they are so afraid of shaming their parents or being rejected by their communities.

Police are aware of the problem. Sir Ian Blair, the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, recently attended a Hindu conference where the issue was raised. But police are powerless to act unless incidents are reported. This rarely happens because the stigma of a child converting to Islam often silences Sikh and Hindu parents.

Community elders say that the practice is widespread but their estimates vary from 100 annual incidents nationwide to 120 in the past few months in the South East alone.

Ranjeet Singh, of the British Organisation of Sikh Students, said: “There are cases of aggressive techniques, of drugging and of rape, of the man taking photos and blackmailing the girls into converting.

SPAIN FEARS RADICAL MUSLIMS RECLAIMING LAND

Madrid- While the international spotlight is on 29 suspects
on trial for the 2004 Madrid train bombings, Spanish police are
working behind the scenes to counter a growing threat of new attacks.
Radicals inspired by al-Qaeda have stepped up propaganda and
recruitment activities in Spain, a country they claim as a part of
the Islamic world because of its Muslim past, according to police
experts.

Extremists present in Spain no longer come just from North Africa,
but also from Pakistan.

Spain has become one of the main bases for the recruitment of
suicide bombers, some of whom are trained at new al-Qaeda bases in
Africa's Sahel zone before they are sent to Iraq.

WASHINGTON — A former Navy sailor was arrested Wednesday for allegedly releasing classified information that ended up in the hands of a suspected terrorism financier.

Hassan Abujihaad, 31, of Phoenix, is accused in a case that began in Connecticut and followed a suspected terrorist network across the country and into Europe and the Middle East.

He was arrested in Phoenix on charges of supporting terrorism with an intent to kill U.S. citizens and transmitting classified information to unauthorized people.

Abujihaad, who is also known as Paul R. Hall, is charged in the same case as Babar Ahmad, a British computer specialist arrested in 2004 and accused of running Web sites to raise money for terrorism. Ahmad is scheduled to be extradited to the U.S. to face trial.

During a search of Ahmad's computers, investigators discovered files containing classified information about the positions of U.S. Navy ships and discussing their susceptibility to attack.

Abujihaad, a former enlisted man, exchanged e-mails with Ahmad while on active duty on the USS Benfold, a guided-missile destroyer, in 2000 and 2001, according to an affidavit released Wednesday. He allegedly purchased videos promoting violent jihad, or holy war.

A former Iranian deputy defense minister who once commanded the Revolutionary Guard has left his country and is cooperating with Western intelligence agencies, providing information on Hezbollah and Iran’s ties to the organization, according to a senior U.S. official.

Ali Rez Asgari disappeared last month during a visit to Turkey. Iranian officials suggested yesterday that he may have been kidnapped by Israel or the United States. The U.S. official said Asgari is willingly cooperating. He did not divulge Asgari’s whereabouts or specify who is questioning him, but made clear that the information Asgari is offering is fully available to U.S. intelligence…

Another U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, … suggested that Asgari’s disappearance was voluntary and orchestrated by the Israelis…

An Iranian official, who agreed to discuss Asgari on the condition of anonymity, said that Iranian intelligence is unsure of Asgari’s whereabouts but that he may have been offered money, probably by Israel, to leave the country. The Iranian official said Asgari was thought to be in Europe. “He has been out of the loop for four or five years now,” the official said…

ALBANY, N.Y. Sentencing is scheduled in Albany, New York, today for two Muslim men who were snared in an F-B-I terror sting.
An F-B-I informant posing as an illegal arms dealer asked pizzeria owner Mohammed Hossain to launder money from the sale of a shoulder-fired missile that would be used to kill a Pakistani diplomat in New York City. The imam of Hossain's mosque, Yassin Aref, witnessed the dealings between Hossain and the informant.

Although the assassination plot was fictional, prosecutors accused the pair of supporting terrorism. Both men face 30 years in prison.

The defense contended the transactions were innocent and that Muslims often lend money to each other with clerics serving as witnesses. The defendants said they just didn't believe the talk about a missile in New York.

It goes on to explain

"After one has declared taaghout to be

Simply put they must hate anything that is not Muslim including President Bush.

Finally it says that Muslims must stay away from taaghout.

"It is Shaytaan's greatest aim to lead every Believer to apostasy and hence become Kaafir like him, by tempting them to become closer to taaghout instead of keeping distance from it."

In an article entitled "Western values are universal values". It has this to say about Western ideas:

Also the newsletter also voices strong support for Sharia law:

"The fact is that Muslims are obliged to believe in total supremacy for Allah (SWT) in all their affairs, including those of the State, which manifests itself in exclusive sovereignty for the Shari'ah, thereby relegating all man-made laws to the exploitation of their emotions and desires, rubbish bin."

This just happens everyday doesnt it? No connection to terrorism. It is totally reasonable for man to have gum,wire and a rock from another planet stuck in his butt to alleviate stress. People do this everyday.

"Fadhel Al-Maliki, a 35-year-old Iraqi national living in Atlantic City, N.J.," set off a metal detector at LAX. While undergoing a secondary screening told authorities that he knew what had tripped the alarm. He then, according to the Times, "proceeded to remove items from his rectum, including a rock, chewing gum and thin wire filament."

The rock, authorities said he told them, was from another planet.

Law enforcement sources said Al-Maliki previously served time in jail for criminal trespassing in Atlantic City.

In addition, he was arrested on suspicion of possession of a destructive device, but the sources said charges were dropped; details of the incident were unavailable.

CARTOON PROTESTER CONVICTED FOR SOLICITING MURDER

A British Muslim who protested outside the Danish Embassy in London against cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad was found guilty of soliciting murder yesterday.

Abdul Muhid, 24, led a crowd chanting “Bomb, bomb the UK”, and produced placards with slogans such as “Annihilate those who insult Islam”, the Old Bailey was told. Others read “Fantastic four are on their way” and “3/11 is on its way”, referring to the terrorist attacks on London and Madrid.

Muhid, of Whitechapel, East London, was found guilty of two charges of soliciting murder. He was remanded in custody by Judge Brian Barker, the Common Serjeant of London.

The father of two was said to be one of the organisers of the demonstration in Central London on February 3 last year. Hundreds marched from Regent’s Park mosque to the Danish Embassy in Knightsbridge, in one of many protests across Europe and the Middle East against cartoons satirising Muhammad, which were first published in Denmark.


5 US MUSLIMS CHARGED WITH FUNDING TERRORIST IN IRAQ

Five men affiliated with a Missouri Islamic charity, which authorities claim has links to al-Qaida, have been indicted on charges that they illegally sent money to Iraq, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.

The five men associated with the Columbia, Mo.-based Islamic American Relief Agency-USA are charged in a 33-count indictment that alleges they stole government money and falsely represented their fundraising goals to the public. A federal grand jury returned the indictment Tuesday and it was unsealed Wednesday.

The men charged are Mubarak Hamed, 50, who served as executive director of the agency; Ali Mohamed Bagegni, 53, a former board member; Ahmad Mustafa, 54, a former fundraiser; Khalid Al-Sudanee, 55, the regional director of IARA's Middle East office and Abdel Azim El-Siddiq, 50, former IARA vice president.

The men — three of whom were in custody Wednesday — are charged with illegally transferring $1.4 million to Iraq from March 1991 to May 2003 — a time when Iraq was under various U.S. and U.N. sanctions, said U.S. Attorney Bradley J. Schlozman. One was expected to be arrested later in the day and the last man was being sought in Jordan.

The charity has come under federal scrutiny before. In 2004, federal agents raided the group's headquarters, as part of a criminal investigation, but no criminal charges were filed against the group or its employees. Its assets, however, were later frozen by the U.S. Treasury Department which claims the Islamic American Relief Agency-USA is an affiliate of the Islamic African Relief Agency, a Sudan-based charity the U.S. government accuses of financing al-Qaida and other terror organizations.

The charity has denied those allegations and claims the organizations have independent leaders and separate bank accounts. But a federal appeals court in Washington ruled last month there was a link between the two groups.


IRAQI MAN STOPPED AT LA AIRPORT WITH MAGNETS AND WIRES STUCK IN HIS BUTT

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Officials detained an Iraqi man during a security scare at Los Angeles International airport on Tuesday but said a suspicious object found in a body cavity search did not pose a threat.

The man, identified by law enforcement officials as Fadhel al-Maliki, 35, was detained at passenger screening at the airport just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The bomb squad was called as a precaution and authorities said they found wires in his clothing and a magnet inside a lower body cavity.

The man was preparing to board a US Airways flight to Philadelphia. The flight left without the passenger but with his luggage aboard. It made an unscheduled landing in Las Vegas where the plane was thoroughly searched but nothing was found.

Two Islamic militant websites have called on Muslims to kill the driver of a Georgia registered vehicle displaying an offensive bumper sticker. On February 28 the "Black Lion" blog, a website run by two American Muslim who support violent jihad, posted the license plate number of a Gwinnett County, Georgia motorist displaying a bumper sticker which read, "Kill em all, let Allah sort em out.” A thinly veiled threat encouraging Muslims to find the driver and kill him was also posted.

Another Muslim offended, another death threat issued.

Jawa Report reader "Louise", who found the post, has contacted the Gwinnett County Chief of Police's office but says that they have not gotten back to her. Further, she reports that the person who took her call said, "what do you want me to do about it?" For starters, how about finding the person targetted for death and letting them know that their life may be in danger?!?! Then, how about contacting the FBI, just down the road in Atlanta, so they can open an
investigation!?!?

In the meantime, "The Black Lion" blog removed the death threat from their website.

However, another U.S. based militant Islamist website picked up the post and republished it. In a post celebrating the shooting down of an American helicopter in Iraq, a "Join the Caravan" author identified as "Mujahida3001" republishes the earlier threat made by "The Black Lion":

Another blogger who gets few hits per day has e-mailed me and told me of a truck he saw with a decal on it saying “Kill em all, let Allah sort em out.” He was kind enough to give me the license tag number, too. Georgia tag [tag number is shown in actual post] Gwinnett County

Just thought I’d share that with you.

This is baraa [enmity]. If he wants to repeat the quote of one of the crusader generals during the first crusades in Jerusalem, then no, I do not care about his safety. I care about his lack of it. He shouldn’t feel any security at all.

So, Muslims, do whatever you can get away with.

Take care and keep it militant. [emphasis mine]

The entire website is devoted to encouraging violent jihad against American citizens. Ironically, the website displays an image of a child wearing the uniform of Hezabollah right next to a post about "Why dirty Shia are not Muslim".

A whois search shows that "Join the Caravan" is hosted by an American company, Wordpress. It is registered to an address in Glendale Heights, Illinois.

The "Black Lion" blog is hosted by a subdivision of the California based internet giant, Google. In the past, Google's blogspot division have refused to take down websites supporting murder and violent jihad on the grounds of "free speech".

In the most recent post at "The Black Lion", the author praises the work of the al Qaeda front group, The Islamic State of Iraq, for murdering 18 Iraqis on a recent video posted to the internet.* The murders were allegedly in retaliation for a well publicized propaganda piece by al Qaeda that accuses Shia Iraqi soldiers of raping a Sunni woman.

Congratulations to the mujahideen who captured and killed the hostages from the apostate security forces of Iraq, in exchange for the rape of our sister Sabrine. 18 killed for one rape. ALLAHU AKBAR!

So, who is it that posted the original death threat at "The Black Lion"?

1) We know he is in Georgia.
2) One of the two authors of the blog recently created a scene at "a Chinese embassy in North America" and was threatened with arrest, but it appears he was merely kicked out. The author says he went into the embassy and "punked" them by using one of their computers to access "Chinese servers" and then started shouting out Free Tibet slogans.

But the author is no follower of the nonviolent Dalai Lama, instead he praises violent resistance to the Communist government ("This is because I hate Communism and atheism even more than I detest liberal democracies")--including suicide bombing ("which I do not advocate for anyone who has access to better weapons and attack methods") as an example for Muslims to follow.

So, if you're a Georgia motorist with a bumper sticker which Muslims might find offensive, beware!**

Suspected Islamic separatists have killed three people in Thailand's troubled south, including a Buddhist man they beheaded and set alight, police said today.

The 53-year-old was beheaded yesterday in Yala, police said, one of three Muslim-majority provinces along the Malaysian border hit by a worsening insurgency that has killed about 2,000 people in three years.

The man's head was left in the middle of the street, about one kilometre from the charred remains of his body, Police Lieutenant Mit Khunchum said.

Mit said the attack was aimed at terrifying residents in the region, where violence has escalated recently despite a raft of peace-building measures proposed by the government, which was installed after a coup in September.

Shortly after the bloody attack, a 25-year-old Buddhist man was killed in a drive-by shooting in nearby Pattani province.

So this site is hosted right here in America. I am trying to figure out why the site has the title "Risk Management and Disaster Recovery Services Ltd". Maybe this is just a front name to cover what the website really is? Maybe the site is connected with this group? I dont know. Maybe it is neither. But is just seems strange.

I just find this site http://www.hizb.org.uk/hizb/ It is the website of the Hizb ut-Tahrir politcal party in Britian. They are also a group that would like to see Islamic Rule over the world. I believe this website maybe connected to the first site due to the fact that both sites are very similar in there format. Take a look at both of them side by side and you will see what I mean.

You read here that Muhammad Taqiuddin al-Nabhani is one of the founding members of this group. This man had connections to the terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood and also exchanged ideas with Sayyid Qutb who believes that jihad warfare is mandated on all Muslims in order to setup Global rule of Islam.

A quick google search of this groups name "Hizb ut-Tahrir" reveals many more sites dedicated to this group as well as many sites that show the extremist agenda of this group.

In December, Pakistan's Parliament passed the Women's Protection Bill, which amended the Hudood Ordinances, a set of religious laws long considered discriminatory toward women. But by shifting the laws from religious codes to secular ones, the bill unleashed widespread political discontent.

"The Women's Protection Bill has focused attention on the issue. Women have become the target because it's a victory for women, even a partial victory," says Kamila Hyat, joint director of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in Lahore.

How my eyes were opened to the barbarity of Islam

Once I was held captive in Kabul. I was the bride of a charming, seductive and Westernised Afghan Muslim whom I met at an American college. The purdah I experienced was relatively posh but the sequestered all-female life was not my cup of chai — nor was the male hostility to veiled, partly veiled and unveiled women in public.

When we landed in Kabul, an airport official smoothly confiscated my US passport. “Don’t worry, it’s just a formality,” my husband assured me. I never saw that passport again. I later learnt that this was routinely done to foreign wives — perhaps to make it impossible for them to leave. Overnight, my husband became a stranger. The man with whom I had discussed Camus, Dostoevsky, Tennessee Williams and the Italian cinema became a stranger. He treated me the same way his father and elder brother treated their wives: distantly, with a hint of disdain and embarrassment.

In our two years together, my future husband had never once mentioned that his father had three wives and 21 children. Nor did he tell me that I would be expected to live as if I had been reared as an Afghan woman. I was supposed to lead a largely indoor life among women, to go out only with a male escort and to spend my days waiting for my husband to return or visiting female relatives, or having new (and very fashionable) clothes made.

In America, my husband was proud that I was a natural-born rebel and free thinker. In Afghanistan, my criticism of the treatment of women and of the poor rendered him suspect, vulnerable. He mocked my horrified reactions. But I knew what my eyes and ears told me. I saw how poor women in chadaris were forced to sit at the back of the bus and had to keep yielding their place on line in the bazaar to any man.

I saw how polygamous, arranged marriages and child brides led to chronic female suffering and to rivalry between co-wives and half-brothers; how the subordination and sequestration of women led to a profound estrangement between the sexes — one that led to wife-beating, marital rape and to a rampant but hotly denied male “prison”-like homosexuality and pederasty; how frustrated, neglected and uneducated women tormented their daughter-in-laws and female servants; how women were not allowed to pray in mosques or visit male doctors (their husbands described the symptoms in their absence).

TWO SUICIDE BOMBERS KILL 90 SHIA MUSLIMS IN IRAQ

A dual suicide bomb attack in central Iraq today killed up to 90 Shia Muslim pilgrims in a crowd of the faithful walking on foot to the holy city of Kerbala.

Two bombers carried out the co-ordinated attack near a rest tent set up to provide food for pilgrims in the town of Hilla, about 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad, ahead of this weekend's holiday.


RADICAL MUSLIMS BOMB MUSIC STORES AND INTERNET CAFES

KHAN YUNIS - A note stuck to the door of his tiny music shop warned Mohammed al-Shaer several months ago that selling tapes and CDs of popular Arabic music was haram, or forbidden by Islam.

Al-Shaer paid no heed until a bomb went off outside his business this week - apparently the work of what Palestinian security officials now suspect may be a secret vice squad of Muslim militants.

In recent months, about three dozen Internet cafes, music shops and even pharmacies have been attacked, with assailants detonating small bombs outside businesses at night, causing damage but no injuries.

"I received a written message after the bombing from a group called 'The Swords of Truth' that began with a verse from the Koran and said they wanted to correct the bad behavior in Palestinian society," he said.

TERROR SUSPECT LOOKING TO DIE IN JIHAD

The committal hearing for the nine Sydney men was told that Mazen Touma had told his mother "Allah's satisfaction is more important than yours".

Crown prosecutor Wendy Abraham QC told Penrith Local Court that Mr Touma had allegedly told a friend his mother had disapproved of his plan to die in a jihad.

"He said jihad was an obligation for every Muslim and that he did not need her permission," Ms Abraham told the court.

"It is alleged he said his mother should be patient because tomorrow her children would be in paradise.

"He spoke of Allah giving him a paradise for martyrdom."

Now wait a minute I thought it was only "Islamphobes" that say the Quran justifies warfare. hmmmm. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe there are Muslims that believe this as well.


ISLAMIC RADICALS KILL 4 IN ALGERIA

An Algeria-based Islamic extremist group claimed responsibility Tuesday for a weekend attack that killed a Russian engineer and three others, posting a message on a Web site used by militants.

The message said that al Qaida in North Africa claimed responsibility for the Saturday bombing of a bus carrying workers for a Russian company. A Russian and three Algerians were killed, while three others were injured.

The statement said the killing was "a gift to our Muslim brothers in Chechnya who are being killed and oppressed by the criminal Russian government." The Russian government has fought separatists in Chechnya in two wars over the past dozen years. Major fighting died down by 2001, but skirmishes still break out in the largely Muslim region in Russia's south.

JACK STRAW: "MUSLIM WOMEN SHOULD LEARN ENGLISH"

Mr Straw told a conference in his Blackburn constituency: "One of the things we should be looking at is the subject of Asian women speaking English and whether we need to engage them and require them to speak English before they are given a settlement visa."

He also singled out Muslims as a group divided from the rest of society. "There is a big cultural divide between Muslims and the rest of us, more than say with the Afro-Caribbean community."

A law demanding that new migrants learn English would fit with the Labour leadership's new push for greater integration and its abandonment of the doctrine of multiculturalism, under which different groups were encouraged to pursue their own separate development.


PHILLIPPINES RADICALS BREAK CEASE FIRE

Army troops and Muslim rebels clashed in the remote southern Philippines despite a 2003 cease-fire, leaving at least 17 rebels and one soldier dead, military officials said Tuesday.

The fighting erupted Monday night in Midsayap, a rural town of about 100,000 people 890 kilometers (550 miles) south of Manila, with the army and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front accusing each other of firing first.

The battle raged overnight into Tuesday, leaving 17 MILF rebels and an army soldier dead, Lt. Col. Julieto Ando, the 6th Infantry Division spokesman. Three other soldiers were wounded.

Over at Hot Air they have video of him talking back to the judge and saying "Death to Israel."
He was being put on trial for letters he wrote from prison. He was in prison for ramming into a crowd of students at North Carolina University in the name Allah. He said "Allah made me do it." Read more about it here.

Robert Spencer has more details on the letters that this man wrote from prison here. If you take a look you will clearly see this man believed he was living out what the Quran commanded him to do. He really believed what he was doing was commanded by Allah.

We are secular Muslims, and secular persons of Muslim societies. We are believers, doubters, and unbelievers, brought together by a great struggle, not between the West and Islam, but between the free and the unfree.

We affirm the inviolable freedom of the individual conscience. We believe in the equality of all human persons.

We insist upon the separation of religion from state and the observance of universal human rights.

We find traditions of liberty, rationality, and tolerance in the rich histories of pre-Islamic and Islamic societies. These values do not belong to the West or the East; they are the common moral heritage of humankind.

We see no colonialism, racism, or so-called “Islamaphobia” in submitting Islamic practices to criticism or condemnation when they violate human reason or rights.

We call on the governments of the world to

reject Sharia law, fatwa courts, clerical rule, and state-sanctioned religion in all their forms; oppose all penalties for blasphemy and apostacy, in accordance with Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights;

eliminate practices, such as female circumcision, honor killing, forced veiling, and forced marriage, that further the oppression of women; protect sexual and gender minorities from persecution and violence;

reform sectarian education that teaches intolerance and bigotry towards non-Muslims;

and foster an open public sphere in which all matters may be discussed without coercion or intimidation.

We demand the release of Islam from its captivity to the totalitarian ambitions of power-hungry men and the rigid strictures of orthodoxy.

We enjoin academics and thinkers everywhere to embark on a fearless examination of the origins and sources of Islam, and to promulgate the ideals of free scientific and spiritual inquiry through cross-cultural translation, publishing, and the mass media.

We say to Muslim believers: there is a noble future for Islam as a personal faith, not a political doctrine;

to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Baha’is, and all members of non-Muslim faith communities: we stand with you as free and equal citizens;

and to nonbelievers: we defend your unqualified liberty to question and dissent.

Before any of us is a member of the Umma, the Body of Christ, or the Chosen People, we are all members of the community of conscience, the people who must chose for themselves.

I pray to hear more of this but I fear that I wont.

CAIR member Ahmed Bedier over at his blog claims he proved how "illegitimate" The Secular Islam Summit was. I think this guy is a joke and says a whole lot of nothing. He repeats the same CAIR lines which have been repeated over and over again. They take absolutely no clear stance on any issue. Heres the video you be the judge:
