UK preacher in secret web call for jihad

ONE of Britain’s most vocal, extremist preachers has been using a false name on a secret website to incite Muslim followers to go on jihad, or holy war, in Somalia.

Anjem Choudary, former spokesman of the banned group Al-Muhajiroun, has posted a statement on a jihadist internet forum telling followers they must join the “divine call of jihad” in the African state.

His call in the password-protected site came days before America mounted air raids on suspected Al-Qaeda units in southern Somalia and news emerged that seven British passport holders had been captured in Somalia by Ethiopian troops.

This weekend the Ethiopian embassy in London said its forces had five Britons in custody, although it has failed to provide any documentary evidence.

The Britons are said to have been fighting against the interim Somali government alongside the Union of Islamic Courts, an Al-Qaeda-linked movement.


Russia sees Muslim population boom

Low domestic birth rates and rising immigration from the former Soviet republics have produced an explosive growth in Russia's Muslim community.

At the same time Russia's overall population is in crisis. Short life spans and low birth rates among ethnic Russians mean the population is declining by 700,000 people a year.

The return of long-denied religious freedoms in Russia has seen Islam flourish. As a result, many ethnic Russians fear their country is losing its national identity.

There are around 25 million Muslims in Russia today, a rise of 40 per cent since 1989.

By 2020, with the continued growth rate, Muslims will account for one-fifth of the entire population.

Muslims Want Special Treatment from UK Health Service

LONDON (Reuters) - Muslims should be given different treatment on the National Health Service to take account of the requirements of their faith, a doctor said on Friday.

Britain’s 1.6 million Muslims are twice as likely to report poor health and disability but the NHS keeps no details on patients by religious affinity, according to Edinburgh University primary care professor Aziz Sheikh.

Writing in the British Medical Journal, he said the NHS should record patients’ religion as well as their ethnic grouping. “It is absurd that we do not, for example, know the perinatal mortality or smoking prevalence among Muslims,” he said.

Male infant circumcision should be available throughout the NHS, he added. Although some NHS trusts do offer circumcision, most parents are forced into the poorly regulated private sector, he said. The NHS should be more accommodating to the religious needs of Muslims.

Many Muslims would prefer to see a same-sex doctor for reasons of modesty, but this was often not possible, despite the increasing number of female doctors in the NHS.

More information about drug ingredients should also be available to allow Muslim patients to avoid porcine and alcohol-derived drugs.

London Mosque DVD: Jews Face Mass Extermination

A leading mosque in London is selling DVDs that proclaim the coming mass extermination of Jews around the world on a "day of judgment." It also attacks Christian groups and the United Nations.


The London Central Mosque, also known as Regent's Park Mosque, is "the spiritual focal point for Muslims" throughout Great Britain, the European Jewish Press reported. It is also home to the Islamic Cultural Center, which educates Muslim children.

The report said that a British television station will air on Monday a documentary on Muslim extremism in Britain, and will report the selling of the DVD.

The DVDs are being sold at the London Central Mosque Shop. One excerpt shows a preacher, Sheikh Feiz, imitating the sounds of a pig and referring to the Jewish people who will be killed on the "day of judgment."

Another preacher, Sheikh Yassin, states that United Nations missionaries and Christians conspired to inject an AIDS virus in inoculations against diseases in Africa.

Faced with charges of selling the DVDs, the manger of the shop at the mosque said there were only 10 DVDs and all of them have been sold. He claimed that the supplier asserted the excerpts were taken out of context.

The television documentary discusses Muslim extremism and the July 2005 attacks on London's transportation system, which killed 52 people.

ATHENS (Reuters) - An explosion ripped through the U.S. embassy compound in central Athens on Friday, a police source said.

It was not clear what caused the blast and there was no immediate word on whether there were any casualties. Police cordoned off all roads around the embassy.

Police officials at the scene said that whatever caused the explosion damaged the official embassy sign outside the mission, but there was little other indication of the extent of damage inside.

In November last year, Greek riot police fired tear gas to disperse demonstrators marching to the U.S. embassy in Athens who chanted slogans including "Bush the butcher, out of Iraq" and "The USA is the real terrorist."

I recently visited the blog of Jerry Rassamni and asked him some questions. He is a former terrorist just like Walid Shoebat. He converted to Christianity and began to realize the lies of Islam. I am not saying the only good Muslim is one that leaves Islam but as a Christian I am very happy to see when someone comes to the truth. I recommend his book to everyone out there From Jihad To Jesus. If you are a Muslim read his book. I challenge you to show me where he is wrong. Early Muslims believed that the Qur’an matched the stories of the Bible. In fact, there’s a Qur’anic verse that states: “But if thou art in doubt as to that which we have revealed to thee, ask those who read the Book (the Bible) before thee. Certainly the Truth has come to thee from thy Lord, so be not thou of the doubters” (Surah 10:94). And,
Say: O People of the Book, you follow no good ‘til you observe the Torah and the Gospels and that which is revealed to you from your Lord. And surely that which has been revealed to thee from thy Lord will make many of them increase in inordinacy and disbelief; so grieve not for the disbelieving people. (Surah 5:68)
However, as Muslims were exposed to un-heretical forms of Christianity, they learned that the Qur’an does not match the Bible. This led them to come with the theory of Ta’rif that claims that the Bible used to match the Qur’an, however, it was later corrupted. Muslims however, fail to produce a single iota of evidence to support their claims. If the Bible was corrupted, then when and where did all the Christians in the world secretly convene to coordinate this big hoax? Furthermore, if the Bible was corrupted, that would undermine the very character of Allah. For if Allah is omnipotent, then why could he not protect his word from corruption? I ask you, which comes first, the authentic currency or the counterfeit?
It is historical dishonesty to claim that the Bible was corrupted when you have 20k copies of the Bible in the British Natural Museum which are consistent with today’s Bible. The only reason that Muslims attack the veracity of the Bible is to deflect attention from the quandaries and predicaments in defending their own scriptures. As I state in my book, “The Muslim assertion that the Qur’an revealed to Islam’s prophet is eternal and that it survived unchanged through the centuries is a proverbial house of cards.” Case in point, the caliph Othman was called the tearer of the books because the Muslim masses asserted “He found the Qur’ans many and left one; he tore up the Book” It is a historical fact that Muslims do not deny that Uthman had all the other versions of the Qur’an burned.
Also, ample evidence that the Qur’an has evolved prompted the caliph Al Ma’mun (AD 786–833) to issue his famous edict denying the eternal existence of the Qur’an. In fact, Al Ma’mun ridiculed the idea that the Qur’an was uncreated.
Concerning how to relate to Muslims, we must love them into the kingdom. God loves them and wants them to come to know Him intimately. We must love them unconditionally and build bridges of trust with them. Let them see the light of God through you. Love them regardless of whether they love you or hate you. Once you have a venue for open dialogue, engage in a dialogue based on facts, not emotions where every word has to supported by references. Below are some suggestions regarding some topics.

If Islam came from the Creator, why would it embrace pagan, animistic practices, such as kissing a black stone, encircling the Ka’aba on pilgrimages, or making the Ka’aba, a pagan relic, the object of prayer? Islam brought nothing new to the theatre of religion, but only amalgamated bits and pieces from heretical sources of Christianity, Sabeanism (worshipped the heavenly hosts (stars), local custom beliefs such as the hajj,

Muslims do not question the Qur’an, otherwise, they will begin to question why a book which they claim to be divinely inspired is filled with contradictions (3% of the Qur’an is openly acknowledged to have abrogated -cancelled- and replaced by later revelations. If Allah is omnipotent, then why didn’t he issue the better revelations in the first place? The very notion of abrogation casts shadows on the majesty and stability of God.

The Qur’an doesn’t stand up to the most basic standards of critical analysis. The Qur’an claims that Christians worship three gods, and that they believe that the trinity consists of God, Mary, and Jesus, and that God had sexual relations with Mary to get Jesus. This my friend is nothing short of blasphemy. Any Christian child in kindergarten can correct these false assertions. All one needs to do to correct the Qur’an is to pick up a Bible to find out that God is one, that Mary is not featured in the Trinity, and that God does not have sexual relations.

Christians never subscribe to these heretical beliefs. The Qur’an is clearly misguided. The trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Mary does not feature in the Trinity – so the Qur’an is clearly wrong). Also, the triune nature of God affirms monotheism. God is one. He is self-sufficient. He reveals Himself in three natures. In the same way that man is body, mind, and soul, yet he is one man, God is also, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, yet He is one God. If God did not reveal Himself in three natures, He would not be self-sufficient, for He would have a need outside of Himself for communion.

In the video I have posted below shows Joe Kaufman of http://www.americansagainsthate.org/ debating CAIR official Arsalan Iftikhar on the issue if CAIR has connections to terrorist organizations. You will notice that Iftikhar will never say that he or CAIR consider Hamas or Hezbollah terrorist organizations. He only answers yes that those groups are on the United States terrorist organization list. Mark my words you will never see CAIR denounce groups like Hamas and Hezbollah by name. Sure they will say they are against any act of violence but they will not denounce the organizations that commit them. How much since does that make?

Muslims want an Islamic NHS

MUSLIMS should get special treatment within the NHS, a top medic claimed last night.

Prof Aziz Sheikh called for “faith-based health services”. He wants same-sex doctors, information to ensure treatments do not contain alcohol or pork, extra prayer rooms and circumcision for baby boys on the NHS.

The professor, from Edinburgh University, said in the British Medical Journal: “Muslims have the poorest overall health profile but there are few faith-centred initiatives aiming to improve health outcomes for our largest minority faith community.

“Many Muslims, to maintain modesty, prefer to see a same-sex clinician but such choice is typically unavailable. Male infant circumcision should be available throughout the NHS and more access is needed to prayer facilities.”

But Prof Aneez Esmail, of Manchester University, said: “It’s not practical. Members of the same religion are not all the same and their needs may be different. Going down this path risks stereotyping.”


Muslims more suited to Australia: Mufti

Australia's controversial mufti Sheik Taj Aldin Alhilali has landed himself in hot water again, this time by saying Australian Muslims are more entitled to the country than those with a convict heritage.

Prime Minister John Howard said he expected the mufti's comments to amuse Australians, however one Muslim leader was quick to apologise for the sheik.

Speaking in Arabic on Egyptian television Sheik Alhilali said, according to a Seven Network translation, that white Australians arrived in the country shackled as convicts.

"We (Muslims) came as free people. We bought our own tickets. We are entitled to Australia more than they are," he said.


Austrian Freedom party fined for using images of Muslim women in campaign

VIENNA, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- An Austrian court fined the Austrian Freedom Party 7,500 Euros Thursday for using pictures of Muslim women donning the headscarf without their permission in campaign literature during the October elections.

The Freedom Party's campaign captioned a picture of four Muslim women with the xenophobic phrase. The image was widely distributed as part of the Freedom party's campaign.

The four women asked the Green Party to sue the Freedom Party on their behalf. The Freedom Party was fined 7,500 euros and court costs; the plaintiffs had asked for double that amount.

Freedom Party leader, Heinz Christianne Stracher said, the photo was indeed taken without the women's consent but did not represent them as extremist Muslims.(end) amq.


London Mosque Predicts Extermination of Jews

One of London's most established mosques is selling a DVD that predicts a massive worldwide extermination of Jews, the European Jewish Press reported. It said a British television station will reveal details in a documentary on Muslim extremism.

The DVD features one preacher making noises like a pig and saying that Jews will be killed on the "day of judgment." Another preacher claims that United Nations and Christian missionaries inserted an AIDS virus in inoculations against diseases.


Michigan: The Islamic Capital of the US

As of 2005, Michigan held the largest and still growing Muslim population in the United States and the second largest Arab population outside of the Middle East. Outside of Muslim-run countries, Paris—which still experiences nightly vehicle torchings and mayhem in its Islamic neighborhoods—has the largest. It is estimated that eight million Muslims now live in the US and their numbers are continuing to grow. Islam is now the second-largest religious body in the United States and is said to be its fastest growing religious movement.



Although hundreds of long-time residents of Hamtramck, MI protested the city allowing the five-times-per-day Muslim call to prayer to be broadcast over Hamtramck’s loudspeakers, the city council voted unanimously in April 2004 to allow it. Prior to the city council making its decision, public input from any citizens (except Muslims) had not been allowed. This continues today. Hamtramck resident Bob Golen was outraged by the city council’s actions and said: “So they had made up their mind before any public meeting and it’s been five-nothing ever since. This is only the beginning. They're going to use Hamtramck as a precedent. This is coming to your town, to the town down the road, and to the [next] town down the road.” Golen added that, after the city council voted to allow the calls to prayer, one of the city councilmen said that he was “proud to set a precedent in this country.”



Note: The most dangerous element of this “precedent” appears to be a US city council making a unilateral decision. No input from non-Muslim US citizen-residents was required—or permitted. Sound a bit like Shari’a law (which requires only Islamic clerics to make decisions) to you? It should. Only one-third of Hamtramck’s population is Muslim. However, it is the group that appears to now wield the proverbial sword when and where its religious practices are involved. Hamtramck’s Christians and Jews need not waste their time protesting, as this pro-Muslim (to the exclusion of other religions?) city council now firmly appears to be in control of matters relating to Islam.



Just outside of Detroit, the city of Dearborn, MI (the tenth most populated in that state) holds the second densest Arab community outside of the Middle East. In a show of force, Dearborn’s largely Shiite Muslim population took to the streets in celebration after the execution of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Considering Hussein’s atrocities perpetrated against his own people, their reaction seemed appropriate. But, many Muslims living in the United States and enjoying the freedoms and opportunities it offers them, were outraged. And these, of course, blamed the country to which they immigrated. One example is from the publisher of US-based “The Arab American News” Osama Siblani who said: “The execution might bring some amusement and accomplishment to the Bush administration, but it will not help the Iraqi people!” He blames the US for the correct decision made by the Iraqi courts. Note: From his comments, I’m taking it for granted that Siblani votes Democrat. His statement sounds eerily like those made by our new Democrat leaders. Blaming President Bush for all perceived ills has become a worldwide phenomenon and passion.



Terrorist Hezbollah is also firmly established in Michigan and in 2006 the owner of the La Shish chain of 15 US restaurants, Talal Chahine, fled to Lebanon rather than facing federal charges that he had both evaded paying taxes and funneled $20 million in profits to Hezbollah. This is but one case and there is little doubt other terrorist-supporting activities continue to occur right under our radar. Dearborn’s Al Mabarat “charitable organization” has also been named in providing funds to Hezbollah and on 31 July 3,500 Dearborn Muslims marched in support of Hezbollah and shouted: “Jews are diseased!” The assertions by many that Michigan is the capital of Hezbollah in the United States, seems an appropriate assessment. But, Hezbollah is not the only Islamic terrorist organization that has a stronghold in Michigan. Terrorist groups al-Qaeda, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Gama’at al-Islamiyya are also firmly entrenched in the state. And it is not only in Michigan that these terrorists have gained a foothold—their presence is now spread throughout the US. We continue to allow the presence of those within our country who have stated and are bent upon overthrowing and destroying it. Too many tolerance-advocates continue to act in an insane and self-destructive manner by allowing these incursions to exist—placing the rest of us not only at risk but, at the mercy of our destructors. And it is now happening not only on our soil but, in our backyards.



If we persist with our consent to allow the terrorists to remain in our country and plot our annihilation, we will not even have a decade left for the USA. Our existence will be measured in a few years—or perhaps months. Considering the results of angry Republicans and conservatives, as exhibited by the 2006 midterm elections, I’m not as confident of our survival as I once was. Like Democrats and other leftists, our brethren chose to ignore the real peril that now exists, for many, right-next-door. We the people appear to have set upon a perilous path that has every indication of leading to our end—which is precisely what the named terrorist immigrants to our country have vowed. It has been said before and I’ll say it again: Certainly, not all Muslims are terrorists. But, easily, 90+% of all current terrorists are Muslims. The bed has been made and the only decision that currently appears available is if we choose to lie in it.


FATAH TURNS TOWARD ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The Fatah movement has rejected secular nationalism for Islamic ideology.

A report said Fatah factions have abandoned the nationalist doctrine that dominated the movement since its inception in 1964. The report by Haifa University said the Fatah factions have been influenced by the ruling Hamas movement and were adopting an Islamist ideology.

"In the past, the Fatah struggle against Israel was seen as a nationalist struggle," Haifa University researcher Ido Zelkovitz said. "Today many factions in Fatah are talking about jihad -- a holy religious war."

Zelkovitz, the report's author, said he examined four central factions among the Fatah military wings. He cited the so-called Fatah Radicals, Martyr Ahmed Abu El Reish Bridgade, the Holy Warriors Battalion, which operate mostly in the Gaza strip, and the Pioneers of the People's Army, active in the northern West Bank.

A few things I noticed from this interview with Hooper.

1. He really showed how Anti-Israel CAIR really is. He also pretty much says no Muslim can be Pro-Israel. I disagree with you Hooper. How about the people over at http://www.arabsforisrael.com and how about this Muslim at a Pro Israel rally here. Sure the Muslims that support Israel are few and far between. But why does your organization CAIR have to be Anti-Israel?

2. If your organization is against terrorism why is it that you wont denounce groups like Hamas and Hezbollah by name? Sure you will condemn acts of violence but why wont you say "We are against Hamas and Hezbollah and what they stand for." Is it because you have people within CAIR that support these groups? I believe it is as you can read here. Until you Condemn groups like Hamas and Hezbollah that are enemies of the United States you are no friend of our country.

U.S.-based Muslim activist urges probe of Chinese terror raid that killed 18

BEIJING (AP) An exiled Chinese Muslim activist living in the U.S. urged China on Wednesday to allow an independent probe of an anti-terror raid that officials say killed 18 militants.

Police found a cache of hand grenades, guns and handmade explosives Friday in Akto, a county in the predominantly Muslim Xinjiang region, about 120 miles east of Kyrgyzstan.

China said 18 terror suspects were killed and 17 arrested during the raid at an alleged training camp run by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, or ETIM.

Rebiya Kadeer, a Chinese Muslim from Xinjiang now living in exile in the U.S., said in a statement that scholars and analysts believe ETIM ``ceased to exist when its purported leader was killed in a skirmish with the Pakistani military in Pakistan in late 2003.''

She said Beijing has failed to produce any evidence proving the suspects were terrorists or backing up its long-standing claim that ETIM has links to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terror network.

``If the Chinese authorities want to be taken seriously as a responsible member of the world community, then they must allow independent scrutiny of any evidence they have for the claims they are making,'' Kadeer said in the statement.

Ellison wants troop withdrawal from Iraq

WASHINGTON - The first Muslim member of Congress says the solution to Iraq lies in an immediate withdrawal of military forces and focusing instead on political and diplomatic efforts.

“We could describe it as a redeployment or withdrawal, but I think we have run the course in terms of our ability to resolve this conflict militarily,” said Rep. Keith Ellison, a freshman Minnesota Democrat.

“I think we need to have a political and economic and diplomatic engagement, and we need to encourage the forces that are in Iraq to begin to resolve the violence in Iraq,” Ellison said Tuesday during an interview with The Associated Press.


Britons 'captured among Somali Islamists'

Britons have been injured or captured in the recent military action against Islamist militias in Somalia, the Ethiopian Prime Minister claimed today.

Ethiopian forces intervened in Somalia in late December, helping the country's weak official government to rout a collection of Islamist militias that had controlled the capital, Mogadishu, and much of the country since June.

Today, as the US confirmed that it had entered the war, conducting an airstrike against suspected al-Qaeda figures sheltering among the Islamist fighters, the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, said that Britons had been among the various foreign extremists shot or captured during the conflict.

"Many international terrorists are dead in Somalia," Mr Meles was quoted as saying by Le Monde, the French newspaper. "Photographs have been taken and passports from different countries have been collected. The Kenyans are holding Eritrean and Canadian passport holders."

"We have injured people coming from Yemen, Pakistan, Sudan, the United Kingdom."

US pushes strategy of sowing discord among Muslims: ICRO head

Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi said here Wednesday that the US is currently pushing the strategy of sowing discord among Muslims to reach its ominous goals in the Middle East.

Mohammadi Araqi made the statement while speaking to IRNA in an exclusive interview.

"Following failure of the US policies in the Middle East region and victory of the Islamic Resistance Movement in Lebanon against Israeli invasion (July-August, 2006), the US has currently pressed ahead with strategy of causing discord among Muslims," he said.

"The US and its allies are working hard to cause sectarian conflict between Shia and Sunni Muslims," he said.

Araqi urged Muslims to exercise vigilance to neutralize the ominous plots of causing discord among Muslims.

"Iraq is the main base for such activities because it is an appropriate state for hatching such a plot with respect to its occupation by foreign forces," he added.

The ICRO head stated that the US and Britain are advancing the strategy to cover up their failures in Iraq, stressing, "Enemies of Islam and the Islamic Republic of Iran intend to cause an obstacle in the way of a `revolutionary Islam'."
He said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has also stressed the need for Muslim solidarity and heavy responsibility of religious ulema and intellectuals of the Islamic world to this end.

On execution of the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, he said the US and Britain has planned to take advantage of his hanging for escalation of sectarian violence in Iraq. No fair individual would defend Saddam's crimes.

Russian admiral predicts impending US strike against Iran

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Former Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Admiral Edward Baltin said Tuesday that the presence of so many nuclear submarines in the Arab Gulf waters pointed to likely plans for a US attack against Iran.

Baltine, who was quoted by Interfax news agency, said the presence of US submarines in Gulf waters meant that Washington was contemplating a strike against Iran.

"The presence of the submarines indicates that Washington has not abandoned plans to launch a sudden attack against Iran," the admiral said.

He blamed Monday's collision between a US submarine and a Japanese sea liner near the Strait of Hormuz on the fact that US submarines needed to sail relatively higher than their usual depths to get clearer vision enabling them to zero in on likely targets.

In 1786, the new United States found that it was having to deal very directly with the tenets of the Muslim religion. The Barbary states of North Africa (or, if you prefer, the North African provinces of the Ottoman Empire, plus Morocco) were using the ports of today’s Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia to wage a war of piracy and enslavement against all shipping that passed through the Strait of Gibraltar. Thousands of vessels were taken, and more than a million Europeans and Americans sold into slavery. The fledgling United States of America was in an especially difficult position, having forfeited the protection of the British Royal Navy. Under this pressure, Congress gave assent to the Treaty of Tripoli, negotiated by Jefferson’s friend Joel Barlow, which stated roundly that “the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion, as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen.” This has often been taken as a secular affirmation, which it probably was, but the difficulty for secularists is that it also attempted to buy off the Muslim pirates by the payment of tribute. That this might not be so easy was discovered by Jefferson and John Adams when they went to call on Tripoli’s envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman. They asked him by what right he extorted money and took slaves in this way. As Jefferson later reported to Secretary of State John Jay, and to the Congress:

The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.

Medieval as it is, this has a modern ring to it. Abdrahaman did not fail to add that a commission paid directly to Tripoli—and another paid to himself—would secure some temporary lenience. I believe on the evidence that it was at this moment that Jefferson decided to make war on the Muslim states of North Africa as soon as the opportunity presented itself. And, even if I am wrong, we can be sure that the dispatch of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to the Barbary shore was the first and most important act of his presidency. It took several years of bombardment before the practice of kidnap and piracy and slavery was put down, but put down it was, Quranic justification or not.

China destroys Islamist camp, kills 18

BEIJING - China has destroyed an Islamist camp, killing 18 suspected terrorists and capturing 17 others in a region with large separatist ethnic and religious minorities, state media said Monday.

One police officer was killed and another was injured during a gun battle with the suspects on Friday in the mountains of northwest Xinjiang region, a police spokeswoman told the official Xinhua news agency.

Ba Yan said the training camp was run by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), a group the United Nations classed as a terrorist organization in 2002.

Police seized 22 hand grenades and more than 1,500 others that were still being made, as well as guns and other home-made explosives, Ba said.

Islamist group wants attacks on French in Algeria

DUBAI (Reuters) - The leader of an al Qaeda-linked Algerian militant group called in a Web video posted on Monday for attacks against the French and their government allies in the North African country.

Abu Musab Abdul-Wadud, leader of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), said the group was awaiting instructions from Osama bin Laden after acquiring weapons and ammunition.

"To Algerians I say ... the French and the allies of Crusaders who occupy our land (Islamic countries) are within your reach and so are the throats of those who sold the blood of martyrs," he said in reference to a rebellion that ousted French troops from Algeria five decades ago.

"We are impatiently awaiting your (bin Laden) instructions and recommendations for the coming period," Abdul-Wadud said. "Recently God bestowed on us weapons and ammunition."

Islamic group vows fight over headscarf ban

Tunis, Tunisia - A statement posted Monday on an Islamic website in the name of a militant group promised a fight against Tunisia's president in response to an official ban on women wearing head scarves in public buildings.

The statement purported to come from The Youth of Tawhid and Jihad in Tunisia, a group not previously linked to the country.

The statement suggested the group was involved in a gun battle last Wednesday with the authorities. The Interior Ministry had acknowledged there was a gun battle with police, but did not specify who was involved, saying only that several "dangerous criminals" had been killed, the official TAP news agency reported at the time.


Funding for Australian Mosques Investigated

(IsraelNN.com) Australia's Foreign Minister is alarmed over funding for mosques being built down under.

"There have been investigations by federal authorities in Adelaide into funding for mosques from Saudi Arabia," Foreign Minister Alexander Downer told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's ABC radio in Adelaide on Monday.

"I don't mean funding by the Saudi Arabian government, but by extremist groups in Saudi Arabia," Downer added.


Local push for Islamic state

AN ULTRA-radical Muslim group banned in many countries will promote support for an Islamic superstate in a seminar in Australia this month.

Christian critics claim that the seminar, to be conducted by the group Hizb ut-Tahrir, will be a recruiting ground for extremists.

Hizb ut-Tahrir believes that the caliphate — a part of the world under Muslim rule that, at its peak, ran from Spain to Iran and beyond — is about to be re-established.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned in Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and most Muslim countries in the Middle East because of alleged links to terrorism, including the bombers behind the 2005 London attacks.

I have one major question about this incident. They said the Driver was 20 years old. In order to drive a semi on the interstate you have to be 21. Why wasn't charges brought against him? I am confused. Besides that they said the driver didn't have identification on him. Is that not an issue either?

MIAMI — Miscommunication led to the detainment of three men at the Port of Miami on Sunday after authorities became suspicious of their documentation and the contents of their cargo truck, officials said.

Authorities initially said the men — two Iraqis and one Lebanese national who are legal permanent U.S. residents — had been caught trying to slip past a checkpoint at the port's entrance.

A port security officer became suspicious when the truck driver could not produce proper paperwork in a routine inspection to enter the port about 8 a.m., Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Nancy Goldberg said.....

This article outlines exactly why Irans leader must be dealt with and why talking to him will slove nothing.

The new year may not be so happy if Iranian leaders have their way. The Islamic messiah known as the “Twelfth Imam” or the “mahdi” may come to earth in 2007 and could be revealed to the world as early as the spring equinox, reports an official Iranian government news website. The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) website says the world is now in its “last days.” It claims that the mahdi will first appear in Mecca, and then Medina. He will conquer all of Arabia, Syria, Iraq, destroy Israel, and then set up a “global government” based in Iraq, interestingly enough, not Iran. Such Islamic eschatology is driving the Iranian regime and helps explains why Iran has no interest in helping the United States and European Union create peace in Iraq or the region, much less in ending its bid for nuclear weapons, the Iraq Study Group Report notwithstanding.

Anticipation of the imminent arrival or “illumination” of the Islamic messiah has been steadily intensifying inside Iran since Mahmoud Ahmadinejad emerged as president of the country in June of 2005. An Iranian television series called The World Towards Illumination has been running since last November to help answer the many questions Iranians have about the end of the world as we know it. The series explains the signs of the last days and what to expect when the Islamic messiah arrives. The program also says that Jesus is coming back to earth soon as a Shiite Muslim leader and it denounces “born again Christians” for supporting “the illegal Zionist state of Israel.” An Israeli news site was the first to pick up the story and its significance to Israeli national security, noting that the mahdi will soon “form an army to defeat Islam’s enemies in a series of apocalyptic battles” and “will overcome his archvillain in Jerusalem.”

Some intelligence analysts are growing concerned by Ahmadinejad’s announced plans “to hold the big celebration of Iran’s full nuclearization in the current year.” Iran’s calendar year ends on March 20, which is the usual date of the spring equinox. Is Ahmadinejad signaling that Iran will have nuclear weapons by then? Is he suggesting that a messianic war to annihilate Israel could come in 2007, perhaps as early as this spring or summer? It is not yet clear, though Ahmadinejad today vowed to “humiliate” the U.S. and Israel soon......

One of the most entertaining opportunities that will emerge in 2007 will be using Barack Obama to fight Islamofascism. He is the product of a black Moslem from Kenya, Barrack Hussein Obama, and a white atheist from Kansas, Shirley Ann Dunham, who met at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. That is why his middle name is the same as Saddam’s: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. His first name is taken from the Islamic term in Arabic for “blessed,” baraka, used in the Koran.

His father deserted the family when Barack Jr. was two and returned to Kenya. His mother then married another Moslem studying at UH, Lolo Soetoro from Indonesia. He moved with his mother and stepfather to Jakarta when he was six, where he attended a Moslem medressa (religious school). That makes him a Moslem. There is no mention of this in the chapter of his book, The Audacity of Hope, where he discusses his religion, My Spiritual Journey (reprinted in Time Magazine). Obama claims he is a Christian, that he and his wife Michelle are members of the United Church of Christ.

The opportunity in this is not accusing him of being a “closet Moslem.” It requires taking him at his word that he has become a Christian — for that means he is an apostate. There is no dispute among either ancient or modern Moslem scholars that under Islamic law, a murtadd, “one who turns his back on Islam,” an apostate, must be put to death. Irtidad, apostasy, is committing treason against God, and traitors deserve to be killed.

Should Obama deny he ever was a Moslem, it will compound the problem in the eyes of Moslems. He was born of a Moslem father, raised by a Moslem stepfather, and received his first education at a Moslem school. That he subsequently went to a Catholic school in Jakarta before living with his mother’s parents back in Honolulu makes no difference. In the eyes of Moslems, he originally was a Moslem. How can he not be in those eyes, with a Koranic first name and his middle name that of the grandson of Mohammed? For him to become a Christian means he is, for them, a murtadd, an apostate.

Which provides the perfect opportunity for an enterprising journalist to ask him at a press conference if he is: 1. Afraid of Moslem assassination attempts as punishment for being in Islamic eyes an apostate? 2. Willing to publicly call upon all Moslems around the world to renounce such punishment and declare instead that Moslems are fully free to convert to another religion?

The odds are high that he will answer no to the first and yes to the second. As an oily politician, he will try to squirm out of a clear definitive yes with no wiggle room. But it should not be difficult for a smart journalist to get him to agree without reservation that Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states...

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. This right includes freedom to change his religion or belief.

...applies to Muslims

Once Obama condemns the Moslem tradition of death for apostasy, then he can be asked:

The Koran famously quotes Allah as saying in chapter (sura) 2, verse 256 that there should be ‘no compulsion in religion.' Yet numerous sayings of Mohammed known as hadith which form the basis of Islamic Sharia law quote Mohammed as saying ‘If a Moslem discards his religion, kill him.' So are you telling Moslems that Allah was right but Mohammed was misquoted, and their Sharia law tradition on apostasy is wrong?

You can see how much fun there is to be had with this. Again, the key is taking Obama at his word that he is a Christian and not secretly a Moslem. No accusations necessary. The point is that Moslems view him as first a Moslem, not that he does. If done right with honest, straightforward, and persistent questioning Obama can serve as a quite useful anti-islamofascist tool.

Moslems will be infuriated with him for embarrassing them, Americans will tell themselves never to vote for someone with Hussein in their name to be their president — and it just might get a number of influential Moslems to abandon an important part of Islamic law. This is going to happen to Obama this year. And not only that. For he’ll then be asked if he will support the efforts of Christian missionaries in Islamic countries to peacefully convert Moslems to Christianity.

Yep, might as well put this guy to good use.

Abuse plagues Muslim women in Germany

BERLIN - Imagine a home with so much pressure to cook, clean and take care of younger siblings that you don’t have enough time to do homework. Imagine your parents forbidding you from going out to socialize with friends from school. Imagine running away from home at 17.

This was Leyla’s life. Born in Turkey near the Syrian border, Leyla* came to Germany at the age of six with her mother and siblings to join her father, one of the many so-called "guest workers" invited by the German government during the 1960s and 1970s. Leyla excelled in German schools, but life at home was overshadowed by her parents' loveless marriage, verbal abuse from her father and few demonstrations of affection. It got worse when her older sister was married off and left home, and Leyla was suddenly thrust into the role of housekeeper and babysitter......

Tony Blair Thinks Islam Is “Progressive” And “Tolerant”

Prime Minister Tony Blair, writing in Foreign Affairs magazine, has said that he considers the Koran to be a “progressive” and “reforming” book. In an article entitled A Battle for Global Values, Mr Blair writes: “To me, the most remarkable thing about the Koran is how progressive it is. I write with great humility as a member of another faith. As an outsider, the Koran strikes me as a reforming book, trying to return Judaism and Christianity to their origins, much as reformers attempted to do with the Christian church centuries later. The Koran is inclusive. It extols science and knowledge and abhors superstition. It is practical and far ahead of its time in attitudes toward marriage, women, and governance. Under its guidance, the spread of Islam and its dominance over previously Christian or pagan lands were breathtaking. Over centuries, Islam founded an empire and led the world in discovery, art, and culture. The standard-bearers of tolerance in the early Middle Ages were far more likely to be found in Muslim lands than in Christian ones”.


Italy to ‘keep an eye’ on mosques, Islamic schools

ROME, Jan 6: The threat of terrorism remains a reality in Italy, the interior minister said, vowing to take a close look at who is financing the country's many mosques and who is teaching at Islamic schools.

Giuliano Amato proposed following France's example of creating a foundation to manage money destined for religious groups, according to remarks published on Friday in Italy's leading dailies and confirmed by his office.

“The spread of mosques in Italy that are built with money from foreign states is unacceptable,” Amato told Italian reporters. “There's something about that that I don't like. I want to know who is financing what in my country.”

Last year, France created a new foundation to handle financing for France's Muslim community, for building and renovating mosques and other projects.

Muslim state school ‘would be welcome’

A MUSLIM state school would be welcomed in Dundee should funding become available under an SNP government, the city council’s education convener has claimed.

Councillor Kevin Keenan said he shared “fairly similar views” to SNP leader Alex Salmond, who told a newspaper yesterday that a Nationalist win in next May’s Scottish Parliament elections would lead to the creation of the first Muslim faith state school in Scotland.

Mr Salmond also pledged to extend the right to denominational education, already enjoyed by Catholics, to other faiths.

Mr Salmond said, “We must listen to representations from within the Muslim community, in particular, and make a full assessment of the demand for Muslim schools.

“We already have the good example of the success of Scotland’s Catholic schools and our successful Jewish school. My experience, strengthened by speaking to people around Scotland, is that our diversity as a nation is also one of our strengths.”

Mr Keenan said there were no funds available in Dundee City Council’s education budget to consider pursuing the creation of a Muslim school.

He said, “I can’t comment on exactly how successful a Muslim state school would be but I daresay it would be welcomed in the city.

CAIR is at it again. They are now attacking Barbra Boxer and Stuck Mojo. They attack Stuck Mojo saying "just recently we saw a video that came out, talking about open season on Muslims." This is nothing but a lie. Clearly one of the members of Stuck Mojo has said that the song is about extremist and not all Muslims. I have even shown this before here

CAIR also had this to say about Barbra Boxer decision to rescind an award to a member of CAIR. "She was quoting from these individuals from Florida who have these hate and extreme right-wing Websites and she also consulted with anti-Muslim bigots. It's really unfortunately she didn't contact us and see our side of the story."

Well what is your side of the story CAIR? It seems the only thing you want to do is just call everyone an Islamophobe that ask any kind of questions. Regardless of what anyone in CAIR says they have a very troublesome record. Having many convicted terrorist in there organization as well as Omar Ahmad the leader of Cair saying Islam is in the United states to be the dominating religion. The list goes on and on.
