Many of you may have seen my letter I wrote to Kenneth Ballen in response to his article that he published in the Christian Science Monitor. You can read my letter here. I was responding to this article in the Christian Science Monitor. Today I received a letter back from Kenneth Ballen. Here is what he had to say about my letter:

"Thanks for your note and comments. Most of your concerns can be addressed by
looking at our actual polling data. Thanks for your feedback."

Well I took a look at this polling data and you can as well at his organizations website. Clearly none of this polling data answers any of the questions I put forward. I wrote Ballen a response to the letter he wrote me.

Kenneth Ballen,
Thanks for your response I am looking at your polls. Maybe I am missing it but I don't see anywhere you asked any questions at all about Hezbollah or Hamas. Neither did you ask any specific questions about the attacks on the Pentagon. Are they in your polls and I am just missing it? I also wanted to know if you agree with my analysis that Christian and Jewish terrorism is no where near being equal to the terrorism committed in the name of Islam? Further I am curious if you have located any Muslim organizations in America other than the Free Muslim Coalition that state that Hezbollah and Hamas are terrorist organizations? I know in your poll in Indonesia you state "For the first time ever in a Muslim nation since 9/11, support for Osama Bin Laden has dropped significantly (58% favorable to just 23%)." Thats great but 23% is still alot of people second of all just because they don't support Bin Laden doesn't mean they don't support the ideology of jihad warfare against unbelievers. Bin Laden is not the only one that believes the Quran justifies warfare. So just because they don't like Bin Laden doesn't really mean anything.

Here are some question suggestions I have for your next poll. I would love for you to ask these questions and I believe many Americans would be very interested in the results.
Here are some of the questions:

Do you believe that jihad warfare is mandated on all Muslims in order to spread Islamic rule?

Do you consider the attacks on the Pentagon on September 11 to be a terrorist act?

Do you consider Hezbollah and Hamas to be terrorist organizations?

Do you believe that woman should have equal rights with men in regards to inheritance and court testimony?

Would you accept the laws of a non-Muslim government?

Would you like to see Islamic law spread over the whole world?

These are just a few questions that I would love to hear the answers to from Muslims in the countries you poll. I believe the American people would be interested in hearing these answers as well. So my question is would you ask these questions? I believe I already know the poll results of these polls if you did them. But why not do it just to see what the results would be. I am also curious to hear what you think about the Poll I quoted from in Canada that showed 87,000 Muslims believe beheading of the Prime Minister would be justified. Do you believe that is troubling?

Here is a bit more information on Ken Ballen.

Ken Ballen has spent more than 20 years on the frontlines in law enforcement, intelligence oversight, crime prevention and congressional investigations. As a federal prosecutor, Ken successfully prosecuted international terrorists. Ken also prosecuted major figures in organized crime, international narcotics and one of the first cases in the United States involving illegal financing for Middle Eastern terrorists. Ken served as Counsel to the Iran-Contra Committee under Chairman Lee Hamilton, where he was the lead investigator for the intelligence and military aspects of U.S. support for the Contra war in Central America, and responsible for questioning key witnesses during the nationally televised hearings. Among other assignments on Capitol Hill, Ken also served as Chief Counsel to a bi-partisan Senate special investigative committee with Senator John McCain; and as Chief Counsel to the House Steering and Policy Committee for its Chairman Speaker Thomas Foley, where he directed policy initiatives on crime prevention and security, intelligence oversight and select national security matters for the U.S. House of Representatives.
